John makes his knives by hand. His knives are clean, ergonomic and built for use. The finished product truly reflects his passion, talent and workmanship. To use John's terms, they are "Overbuilt, Practical And Tactical".
This John Gray Rostrum, frame-lock folder is what I would call a "flicker". Running on 12 caged ceramic ball bearings, the blade can be quickly and easily deployed with a flick of your thumb. The knife features a Magnacut blade with Rockwell Hardness of 63-64 HRC. The blade has a satin finish with tumbled flats. The frame is titanium, as are the lockbar insert, tip-up mounted pocket clip, backspacer and hardware. The presentation side scale is Fat Carbon. The blade flicks fast, smoothly and effortlessly. The detent is excellent, the lock-up is early and secure, and the blade sits perfectly centered in the frame.
