Hand forged and expertly tempered from high-quality Damascus steel, their subtly patterned blades are as sharp as they are beautiful. The heavy guard and pommel are cast from nickel-silver and adorned with watchful Chinese lions. Providing exquisite contrast to the jade green cord and samé wrapped handles and very skin wrapped rosewood scabbards. The Lion Gim is a civilian self-defense Wen Jian (Scholars Sword), with a little more panache than the practical versions (like our own Gim Sword) that were made for the battlefield. In our tests it severed and pierced 4 bamboo poles with a single cut or thrust.
