It consists of a VG-10 stainless steel core sandwiched between two outer layers of Damascus steel. Each of the Damascus layers is composed of 15 layers of forge-welded steel, beautifully patterned and etched to reveal the detail of the structure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo complement its dramatic 31-layer blade, the handle scales of this knife are made from state-of-the-art 6AL-4V titanium. Precision machined and bead blasted to a handsome grey finish, the scales are supported by a stainless steel back spacer and mated to the blade by a high-strength back lock mechanism. All components are assembled with precision stainless steel Torx® hardware and meticulously hand finished.
